"Celebrating Heritage: Bhoti Day at Jamyang School Leh"

On April 1st, 2025, Jamyang School Leh celebrated Himalayas Bhoti Day with fervor and enthusiasm. The event was designed to raise awareness among the youth about the significance of our mother tongue, Bhoti, and to encourage its usage for preserving our cultural heritage.
On April 1st, 2025, Jamyang School Leh celebrated Himalayas Bhoti Day with fervor and enthusiasm. The event was designed to raise awareness among the youth about the significance of our mother tongue, Bhoti, and to encourage its usage for preserving our cultural heritage.

The event, chaired by Geshe Tsultrim Tharchin, President SNDC and Principal Tsering Tundup and the respective teachers, staff and the students of Jamyang School Leh.

The event was begun with the Introductory speech by Gen Lhundup.

Each resource person delivered insightful talks highlighting the importance of preserving Bhoti language and its cultural significance. They emphasized the role of youth in safeguarding and promoting their native language.

Evening Session: Competitions

The evening session saw various competitions among the students, including Speech, Storytelling, and Poetry. Students showcased their talents and proficiency in Bhoti language.

Prize Distribution

The winners of the competitions were awarded prizes by the Chief Guest, Geshe Tsultrim Tharchin and Principal Mr. Tsering Tundup. The recognition of their efforts served to motivate and inspire the students to continue their engagement with Bhoti language and culture.

Closing Address

In his closing address, the Chief Guest commended the students for their active participation and encourage them to continue their endeavors in preserving and promoting Bhoti language. He provided valuable insights into the origins of Bhoti language and its significance in the cultural landscape of the Himalayan reg
